Lizá Defossez Ramalho and Artur Rebelo’s R2 Designs

Lizá Defossez Ramalho And Artur Rebelo Founded The design Studio R2 In 1995, Where They Are Designers And Art Directors. They Both Have BA Hons. Degrees From The Faculty Of Fine Arts Of The University Of Porto And Master’s Degrees In Design Research From The Faculty Of Fine Arts Of The University Of Barcelona.

Lizá And Artur Have Lectured In Graphic Design Since 1999 And Coordinated Various Workshops And Participated As Speakers And Jury Members In Numerous National And International Events. Currently, They Are Invited Professors At Faculty Of Sciences And Technology Of The University Of Coimbra. They Have Been Invited To A Wide Array Of International Exhibitions And Important Museums. Their Projects Have Been Published In Various Specialized Books And Design Magazines. Lizá And Artur Are Both Members Of AGI – Alliance Graphique Internationale Since 2007.

R2 Line Of Work Is On Projects Of A Wide Range Of Cultural And Commercial Organizations, Contemporary Artists And Architects In Areas Such As Visual Identity, Posters, Books, Sign System And Exhibition Design.

Our Work Also Extends On Curating, Publishing, And Creation Of Art Interventions And Installations.

Ramalho & Rebelo Explore Different Means — Static, Sequential Or Interactive — As Well As Different Materials, Like Paper, Screen Or Even Concrete. The Dominance Of Different Publishing Platforms, Dimensions And Materials Allows A Broad Response That Focuses The Discussion On Content And Design Concepts. From The Dialogue Between Bi-dimension And Three-dimension Results Highly Differentiating Projects That Earned The Best Reviews Of The International Design Community.
